๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Germany

This page contains information specific to Germany.

The current situation:
German hospitals generally do not perform directed blood donations. Consequently, we cannot currently facilitate blood donations; establishing blood banks is not viable until the donated blood can actually be utilized. Furthermore, mediation services are currently only available outside of Europe, with the exception of Italy, where it is feasible but quite complicated. There is no free choice of donor blood in Germany or in most parts of Europe. We are actively working to change this.

What WE are doing:
Our action plan:
We have just assembled a new team for Germany that will seek the most viable path to achieve our goal: the free choice of blood (and blood donors). To this end, we will be seeking medical partners (hospitals, laboratory chains, private practices, etc.) and primarily aim to reduce the general need for blood transfusions by providing clear instructions to medical staff through our members’ advance directives.
If we cannot find suitable partners, we must do everything possible to establish our own network of blood donation and storage centers (blood banks).

What YOU can do:
Spread awareness about our mission and, most importantly, become a memberโ€”because we are stronger together. If you would like to become a member, you can only do so via this website (under Register).

CONTACTS:
You can find all contact details for our team in Germany on the “Contact” page, or send us an email here.
